Leadership Devo of the Week: Matthew 6:7-8

“And when you pray, do   not be like the pagans…babbling and wordy.”  Now and then I will meet with a person who suggests we   need to “really pray,” usually meaning more time spent, more   passionate language; more words.  The idea suggested is that God is more apt/forced to answer when we pray this way.  Is the heart of prayer getting God to hear my words?  What is the heart of prayer?  We do not want to pray like the pagans Father, help us to trust in you who already knows what we need. Amen.
